Questions worth answering before the job starts.

Straight answers about scope, access, testing, certification, pricing and handover before work starts.

01

What information do you need to quote?

A postcode, the type of property or premises, what is there now, what you want changed, and any timing or access constraints. Photos of the consumer unit, meter position, route or affected area are often useful.

02

Do you handle both domestic and commercial work?

Yes. Domestic work includes rewires, consumer units, EICRs, faults, lighting, EV charging and alterations. Commercial work includes testing, remedials, lighting, power, emergency lighting, access-control wiring, maintenance and refurbishment work.

03

Do you carry out inspection and testing?

Yes. Sperin Services carries out inspection, testing, fault finding and certification appropriate to the work being undertaken.

04

Will I receive certification?

Where the work requires electrical certification or test documentation, the appropriate paperwork is provided as part of the handover.

05

Do you install EV chargers?

Yes. EV charging work is assessed around the existing supply, earthing arrangement, cable route, load requirements and the charger being installed.

06

Can you work in schools, nurseries and other occupied premises?

Yes. Commercial work can be planned around access, occupied areas, other trades and the programme. The exact arrangements are agreed for each site.

07

Do you undertake access control and door-entry work?

Sperin Services can undertake the electrical power, containment and wiring associated with access-controlled doors, readers, locks, intercoms and interfaces where the system specification is clear.

08

Are you insured?

Yes. Sperin Services holds public liability insurance. If a client, landlord or commercial site needs evidence before work starts, ask for the current documentation.

09

How is Building Regulations notification handled?

Where domestic electrical work is notifiable, the appropriate Building Regulations notification route is agreed and used for that job. The certification and notification arrangements are explained before work begins.

010

What happens if I have a concern after completed work?

Contact Sperin Services with the job details and the issue will be assessed. The aim is to deal with genuine post-completion concerns directly rather than leave them unresolved.

011

What areas do you cover?

The main service area is Birmingham and the wider West Midlands, including Smethwick, Quinton, Harborne, Oldbury, Halesowen, West Bromwich, Solihull, Dudley, Walsall, Sutton Coldfield and Tamworth.
